Mission Gold Pure Pigment Paints
First off, I might have a problem. When starting in watercolor it can be overwhelming to know what supplies one should have. Like
many have shared before me, it would be 100% cotton watercolor paper, professional watercolors, and superior quality synthetic or
natural hair brushes.
However, I have all this and still buy more supplies. This is not because I do not have the right supplies but more like I have a problem.
I like to try assorted brands of paint, brushes, and paper. I recently ordered a set of Mission Gold pure pigment watercolors. They are not
very granulating but not everyone likes granulating paints. Mission gold has a few sets, but the pure pigment sets come in two sizes on Amazon.
Pure pigment means the paint only contains one pigment. The watercolors are very vibrant and smooth when rewetting. They are not
sticky like some watercolors that contain honey nor do all the colors become rock hard like other companies.
Mission Gold is a South Korean company, and you can find their paints on Amazon, and Jacksons Art. I ordered my set-on Amazon
because the set is much cheaper than ordering individual tubes of their paints. So far, I have really enjoyed working with them.
